REVIEW
This is one of the few enemies-to-lovers romances that I have enjoyed. Author Felicity Heaton did a superb job of creating tension between Hartt and Mackenzie while weaving in mutual respect and desire. I also liked the fact that this story wasn't all sugary sweet. With both having such strong personalities it was interesting to see how they worked to gain control over each other and be the one in charge.
Hartt and Mackenzie understand the word fight till death and each fighting scene between them was intense and felt real. This added tension, at first made me a little crazy because I wanted them both to say, "I give". But eventually the shared attraction made me wonder how they could possibly kill each other to win the assassination contract. Honestly you need to read the book!
An added aspect to this book was Hartt's lack of control with his dark side it really ramped up the plot making Mackenzie and all around him leery and question his sanity. This creates uncertainty and flavor to the plot so there was a point that the reader doubts what they think will be the ending.
Towards the end of the book two characters stand out and caused me to believe they would be getting their own book. I can't wait to see if I am right because they would make this book look like child's play.
Are going to read the book to see which two characters I am talking about?

She comes with baggage - her late husband. That she only wants to ‘talk’ about his profession, he doesn’t believe for a moment. It all adds to the initial allure.

REVIEW
Wow just wow! I don't even know how to begin this review.... let's just say I was enthralled with this plot. Author Maggie Tideswell did a phenomenal job of creating a ghostly romance mystery that feels real. I am still thinking of it days after reading it. For me that is the sign of a great book. One that sticks with you long after you read it.
Rachel's character did not jump out at me in the beginning of the book. I was not positive that she could be a strong female character which is my favorite type of primary female character. As the books progresses the reader will feel her shift as she comes out of her grief and into life.
Trip Murgatroyd is just hot from the beginning but there is a point in the story where the reader will get to see what he hides from the public. This self discovery brings his status from sex icon down to just a man. I will admit two things did bother me about Trip. His last name is hard to pronounce so it distracted me. I know a small thing, but I kept stumbling over it as I read wondering if I was saying it right. And the second thing was that his total sexual confidence at times rubbed me the wrong way.
This book is by far a mind blowing read with Rachel's ghostly husband not letting go of her and all the havoc he creates with all the mysteries surrounding his death and his secret life.
I recommend this for people who want to read something memorable and different. Curious...will you read it?
Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

Author Bio:
International bestselling author of spooky paranormal romance, Maggie Tideswell never planned to write ghost stories. She actually wanted to write romance, hot, steamy, full of emotion. You know the kind – boy meets girl, they fall in love, then boy loses girl and wants her back...
But, before she knew it, there was a persistent ghost on the page who wouldn’t get out of the way of real storytelling. The only thing to do was to give him a job. If he wanted to be part of the story, he had to work for it.
Maggie soon found that the trick was to combine things that couldn’t be rationally explained, with sweaty bodies and rumpled sheets in such a way that toes curl and hair stand on end. Married to a chef, Maggie is nearly as passionate about creating new dishes as she is about creating alpha heroes every woman could fall in love with, just as she does, every time.
