Book Description:
As a local domestic violence and sexual assault counselor, the respect of her community is critical to Lorna Reardon. That would be hard to maintain if they found out she was seeing a younger man.
Twelve years doesn’t matter to Gant “G-man” Meadows. Once he tells Tank Reardon that his mom is “hot,” Tank and Pops go to work on Lorna until she gives the guy a chance. For a firefighter, metalsmith, and former motorcycle club member, Gant is surprisingly genteel, spiritual, and gentle. He’s also determined to keep her safe from an unexpected threat, even though she’s relegated him to nothing more than a dirty little secret in her life.
Gant’s sworn he’ll love her forever, and he’s willing to make the ultimate sacrifice with no regret. The regret will be all Lorna’s. Regret that’s harsh. Regret that’s sharp. Regret that’s deep.
Regret that will last forever.
BOOK REVIEW:
I love reading and reviewing contemporary books by Author Deanndra Hall they are overflowing with raw emotion that is not only realistic but heart breaking and heartwarming. Though the book started slowly for me it was worth the buildup and the tears.
Gant isn’t the typical Alpha male leading man that I swoon over but as his character opened and expanded throughout the book, I fell in love with him. His strength of character, kindness, and caring way warmed my heart. Everything about him made his character special. I wanted him to break through Lorna’s walls with a passion. I wanted him to have his HEA. He deserved it. What I didn’t expect was what he would do for love regardless if the other person loved him back!
Lorna on the other hand coming from a small town was conservative beyond belief. Like so many women she could see the value in others but not herself. Her part in this story really gave this reader a punch in the gut. Her struggle with the age difference is what many of us women go through in today’s world. Her belief on how a mother should act and how others would portray her are the same struggles many of us go through daily.
Some of key thoughts I am taking away from this book is to truly value the other person's feelings and to have the courage to break through your walls to let another person love you no matter what. That life is too short to have regrets you can never fix. And most of all to truly see a person you must get out of your head and open your heart.
What a great read!

About Deanndra:
Deanndra Hall is a working author living in the far western end of the beautiful Bluegrass State with her husband of over 35 years and small menagerie of weird little dogs. When she’s not writing, she’s editing. When she’s doing neither of those two things, she’s having dinner with friends, spending time with family, kayaking, eating chocolate, drinking beer or moonshine, or looking for something that she put in the wrong place and can’t seem to find (which is pretty much everything she owns).
