Trip Murgatroyd is a hotter than hot escort. He is happy with his life, with what he does for a living - he is comfortable in his own skin.
Then he receives an unusual request – to be Rachel’s 30th birthday gift. Given the minimum of information about her, but booked for a full night with her, he immediately knows she is different to his clients.
She comes with baggage - her late husband. That she only wants to ‘talk’ about his profession, he doesn’t believe for a moment. It all adds to the initial allure.
Until he realizes what danger she is in, posed by the ghost of her dead husband…
How is she to escape from a jealous ghost?
REVIEW
Wow just wow! I don't even know how to begin this review.... let's just say I was enthralled with this plot. Author Maggie Tideswell did a phenomenal job of creating a ghostly romance mystery that feels real. I am still thinking of it days after reading it. For me that is the sign of a great book. One that sticks with you long after you read it.
Rachel's character did not jump out at me in the beginning of the book. I was not positive that she could be a strong female character which is my favorite type of primary female character. As the books progresses the reader will feel her shift as she comes out of her grief and into life.
Trip Murgatroyd is just hot from the beginning but there is a point in the story where the reader will get to see what he hides from the public. This self discovery brings his status from sex icon down to just a man. I will admit two things did bother me about Trip. His last name is hard to pronounce so it distracted me. I know a small thing, but I kept stumbling over it as I read wondering if I was saying it right. And the second thing was that his total sexual confidence at times rubbed me the wrong way.
This book is by far a mind blowing read with Rachel's ghostly husband not letting go of her and all the havoc he creates with all the mysteries surrounding his death and his secret life.
I recommend this for people who want to read something memorable and different. Curious...will you read it?
Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
